Catching the Super MOON!

So people are catching the super moon, the biggest in this century, with their mobile phone which can basically capture nothing but a white spot... Okay... What did I do then?
Hopefully I could see the moon from my home so I could set my camera and tripod with ease, I don't even have to go out! Lazy me...

Cuz I am curious, I used two sets of equipment just to see which is better and easier to use.
Sony a77 w/ Sigma 50-500mm f/4.5-6.3

(cropped)
Focal length: 500mm ISO320
Aperture: f/7.1
Exposure Time: 1/160s
SLT x long lens are the best combination, as both of them are of high quality. The photo quality is rather high.
However, the whole equipment is heavy and bulky, which is not so suitable for travel and snapshots.
Sony HX300

(without crop)
Focal length: 215mm (wrong EXIF data?) ISO320
Aperture: f/6.3
Exposure Time: 1/400s
I had a very bad impression towards HX300, as it reacts very slowly and noise is serious. I thought this only happens when I spot planes with it, but it turned out to be not - Noise/compression patches are significant on the moon.
Conclusion
To sum up, photos of HX300 do not look bad to most people, but the detail parts are rather poor. Therefore this camera (or HX400V as predecessor) may be good to you if you don't really care photo quality while you want long focal length.
(Of course more recent prosumers like Panasonic FZ300 or Sony RX10 series would be pretty decent)
For me, I would rather use the heavy a77 + long lens as the quality of photo is guaranteed. I have even tried to carry them (4kg with other stuff in total) uphill, I felt strongly exhausted but in the end photos were way better. Thus for those of you who demand good photo, SLT/DSLRs are definitely the best choice.
